BJJ is practiced for fitness, self-defense, and as a popular competitive sport. Throughout the world, people of all ages, sizes and levels of fitness safely train in this challenging and rewarding combat martial art.

Casey Hanmer
Hylyn (Casey) Hanmer is a black belt under Melissa Haueter and Combat Base Club. She’s been training since 2000, Rigan Machado lineage. She’s a retired long distance runner with MMA and personal training experience. Before moving to Sequim in 2022, Casey was a longtime instructor at Victory MMA and then Kainga Jiu Jitsu in the San Diego area. Her style of instruction is technical while being very fun and down-to-earth.
