Fall 2025 Solarte Competition Team Update

The Solarte Competition Team has been working steadily this fall. Coach Jesse helped his athletes prepare for their fights in the StreetBeefs scrapyard and the BJJ team got Brady ready for his second-ever jiu jitsu competition.

Boxing in the Scrapyard!

Solarte’s boxing crew sent Jayden and Trevor to the StreetBeefs Scrapyard last Saturday. Congratulations, guys! Jayden won with by unanimous decision in his “Best Friends” kickboxing match. In his first-ever match, Trevor battled a tough opponent and recovered well after a couple low blows. Didn’t get the win, but definitely showed his skill and heart. Special thanks to everyone who helped them prepare and showed their support, particularly Coach Jesse! (StreetBeefs Photos: Chandra C. Photography)

BJJ Competition: ADCC Open – Vancouver

We’re super proud of Brady!!!! Amazing job against a tough purple belt competitor who eventually won the division. Brady was quite dominant during the no points section and we definitely have plans for what to work on next! It was also great hanging out with Rob and the Island Top Team crew. (We all had some delicious Fatburgers afterwards.) I miss my Island Top Team friends and loved having a chance to see them. Brady, Liz, Isaac and I also had very well deserved drinks together. It’s always wonderful seeing the dedicated support of family and friends throughout the training camp and during the event. Thanks to everone who helped Brady prepare. On to the next one!
