Rob Biernacki Weekend
On February 9–10, 2018, Solarte BJJ hosted Rob Biernacki, the head instructor of Island Top Team. Solarte BJJ is an affiliate of ITT and all striping and promotions are directly through Rob. Congratulations to Alex Tienda and Kecia Gilliam on their stripes!

Sunday April 29 Mat Cleaning
From 9:30–11:30am, come on in and help the Aikido folks clean the mat space—the more the merrier. Without Clallam Aikikai’s beautiful mats, we wouldn’t be able to train. Thank you, Naini Sensei!
Li’l Ones BJJ Series: Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for Young Children
Every Thursday in April, Solarte BJJ is hosting a series of lessons for parents and young children (ages 3 to 7) introducing them to BJJ-related games and movements. This class was formerly offered as a series, but we have decided to make it an ongoing program. IMPORTANT NOTE: There will be periodic breaks in the class schedule (generally about 4 weeks on and 1 week off). Be sure to check our online calendar!
This is a unique program where both adults and children learn Brazilian Jiu-jitu basics while playing and having fun together. At least one parent/guardian must participate with their child(ren). Maximum of 2 children per parent/guardian.

Coach Jenn’s Training Trips to Island Top Team
Coach Jenn recently took a week-long trip to train at Island Top Team. ITT is renown for its innovative approach to instruction and Jenn wants to stay up with the current trends in the best of BJJ training. To this end, she regularly returns to ITT to train.
