Solarte Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Sequim Elwha River Rock Climbing Trip
There’s a lot of cross over in the physical and mental skill sets required for BJJ and rock climbing. The use of grips, leverage and a willingness to push past your comfort zone serves one well in both disciplines. Sunday Gun-Day
It’s all about getting past your comfort zone! In early September, the Solarte crew met at a gorgeous spot in the foothills to do some shooting. With the guidance of our two range safety officers, we had a fun time working with a wide range of firearms. Some folks were quite new to shooting and it was an ideal way to get started in this important martial discipline. Fun time definitely had by all!!!!
Passing Seminar with Rob Biernacki at Solarte Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Sequim
The September 14-15 seminar with Rob was the highlight event of this year’s anniversary. For two days, Rob worked with us to understand not only the concepts behind passing, but to get those ideas into our muscle memory. Techniques can fade quickly from our minds, but concepts backed by solid training exercises will stick with you and transform your game!
